Elementary Library Mission

The Hopkinton Public Schools Elementary Library Media Program exists to empower students and faculty to become effective users of information, to encourage the development of critical thinking skills through collaboration with classroom teachers, to help foster a love of learning and reading and to provide access to informational and recreational materials for its school communities.

We accomplish this mission by:

• Integrating the development of skills and tools necessary to effectively access information

• Providing curricular support through access to information in a variety of formats

• Collaborating with teachers to enhance classroom instruction and student learning

• Working with students to develop their personal reading selection criteria and fostering an appreciation for literature
